BreakBuddy
In today's fast-paced world, the challenge of prolonged sitting affects individuals of all ages. Whether you're immersed in office work or any other sedentary task, your body tends to remain static for extended periods. This inactivity often leads to discomfort, impacting not only your head, neck, and shoulders but also your hips, legs, and concentration. Introducing a solution that addresses this issue head-on: BreakBuddy. This product is a seat pad that detects when someone sits down, measures the time of sitting and sends a signal after a certain period of time in order to remind the user to take a break. The device is connected to a web app that provides recommendations for break activities, such as meeting a colleague in the office or going for a coffee with a fellow student.

CloChip
Clochip is the digital twin of your wardrobe, helping you keep track of your clothes. The solution is based on an App and affordable NFC tags that you attach to your clothing. Simply scan your laundry basket to mark one or more items of clothing as "dirty" at the same time. Subsequently, your laundry basket is analyzed and you receive a washing recommendation and possibly a warning so that you no longer have shrunken or discolored clothing. After washing, simply mark the clothing as clean again. This way, you always know which fresh clothing you still have in your wardrobe. If you ever don’t know what to wear, our "Outfit Assist" suggests a suitable outfit based on the weather conditions and also reminds you to take an umbrella with you.
All of this becomes possible thanks to our cross-platform compatible Ionic app, which reads passive NFC tags and also assists you in initially logging your clothing. Your wardrobe, along with all details like color, size, material, and even a photo, is then conveniently stored on our backend server.

Intelliplant
The problem:
Just about everyone has plants at home that need to be watered correctly. However, there are various reasons why this is not happening, resulting in under or over-watering. As a result, the plants may die and need to be repurchased. One common reason for insufficient watering and its consequences is that the responsible person is not at home for a longer period. This problem includes all households: from families on vacation, businesspeople on business trips, to absences due to second residences. Even if someone is found to take care of the plants, this involves additional effort (like going to the apartment regularly or taking the plants to their home). Other people unintentionally neglect the care of their plants in the stressful everyday life, which leads to the same negative consequences. Analogously, there are also people who simply do not want to actively take care of their plants and people who very incorrectly estimate their water needs. The latter can result from the fact that different plants need different amounts of water. Likewise, the water demand differs depending on environmental factors.
Our solution:
Our product "Intelliplant" solves this problem: it tracks the humidity of the soil and automatically waters the plant when it falls below a certain humidity threshold. Thus, the described problem of absence from home or plant watering neglect can be solved, as the time can be bridged by Intelliplant, ensuring the plant's well-being. Before the absence, it is enough to fill the connected water container and to insert the connected moisture sensor into the soil. Also, in the other cases Intelliplant can ensure proper watering: The task of watering can be handed over sometimes or permanently, thus solving the problem of lack of time or willingness to care. If manual watering is wanted, this can still be done at any time by pressing a manual button. Since different watering intensities are required depending on the plant, the watering behavior is adapted in each case. This is done via predefined categories of watering levels, from which one can initially be selected, based on the type of plant. Depending on the category, more or less watering is triggered, resulting in appropriate and individual treatment of the plants. A key advantage of our product is the intelligent humidity sensor that triggers irrigation as a result of the environmental conditions: If the temperature is significantly higher in the summer months, the sensor will detect the moisture threshold earlier and then irrigate. Therefore, uncertainties about environmental conditions such as temperature or sunshine on the plant do not need to be considered by the user, as the sensor measures the relevant moisture. Finally, our product leads to greater sustainability, as the optimum amount of water is provided in each case, thus avoiding water waste.
